Angrydentists thoughts of the day- August 23

Today’s thoughts:

1. Interesting article today at Stop the ACLU which asks whether or not Obamacare is constitutional.  Does the federal government have the right to force you to buy health insurance.  or have insurance?  Last time I checked, buying healthcare insurance is no different from buying anything else.  You want it, buy it.  You want a Porsche, buy it.  Everything is a choice.  How you spend your money is your choice.  Every individual has to decide what is important to them.  Look, the last time the government decided it was an American’s right to own something (in the 90′s, when the Dems crushed mortgage laws because everyone deservedto have a house)… well, you can just see the results.  Economic spiral downwards.  Does the system need to be fixed to make it affordable to every one?  Sure, fixed, not reconstructed.  But guess what, even then you’ll have people choosing not to buy it.  And that is their choice. 
2. Do you actually think Obama would allow a silly thing like the Constitution keep him from achieving his Socialist States of America?  Fun article at Thepiratescove
3. Its a horrible story, I know, the model being murdered and stuffed in a suitcase.  But did you see how they identified her?  Teeth ripped out, finger prints gone, so they used the serial numbers on her breast implants to identify her.  i can just see the plastic surgery ad campaign now: “Worried about the authorities not being able to identify you after your brutally murdered? Dr Bob’s boobs will make sure they find out who you are!”  it practically writes itself
4. Woman wins $2 million from dentist after he extracted all 16 of her upper teeth when she supposedly only needed 3 out.  reminds me of that story of a girl in Europe who had fifty or so stars tattoos on her face but claimed she only wanted three.  How can you not realize that all of your teeth are being taken out?  Was she sedated?  I would love to see the consent form she signed.  I mean, if this is true… what kind of dentist makes this big of a mistake?  The reconstructive surgery is only $80,000, why is she being given two million
5. Woman sues zoo in Chicago after slipping and falling near a dolphin tank.  she claims the zoo was negligent in not warning people that it may be wet around an open dolphin tank!  Once again, someone trying to sue after her lack of common sense leads to an accident.  Of course its wet around a tank where dolphins are swimming, ya idiot!  Dolphin lawsuit here.  Sounds like the type of woman who scours her neighborhood for an uneven strip of sidewalk to conveniently trip over
6. Cash for clunkers cars to be sold for use at Monster Truck Rallies.  Sweet.  They must be destroyed, so what better way than at the tires of smog belching, polluting beasts that are worse for the environment than the cars they are destroying.  Irony.
7. Craig’s list is expanding.  Awesome!  Now I can find a hooker or hired killer in more cities, states and countries
8. I no longer have a toothbrush.  My two year old son stole my last one.  Check out my post from yesterday
