As you all can guess, I’ve received a handful of comments from the pro-marijuana crowd defending marijuana use. And they all spout the same defense: you’re ignorant. But what can you except from people who spend a good part of their lives stoned (and as we all learned from Family Guy, THC is a mild form of acid)?

This whole medical marijuana thing is ridiculous. And getting out of hand. How do I know?
I write prescriptions for controlled substances, real medications, every day. Percocet. Vicodin. Valium. And my directions to my patients have never been: a) Take this until you feel better or the symptoms go away or b) Go home and grow your own opium plants and take it as needed.

I didn’t want to revisit this story, at least not this soon, but hearing this woman’s lawyer speak, it just makes me ill. He’s not a doctor, yet he gets up there and offers all of these other explanations for how this woman could have been incapacitated.
Gestational diabetes? That’s diabetes you get when pregnant. It can linger, but this is just ridiculous

She was described as “an accomplished working mother who always put her children before any other priorities”
And “a devoted mother to her children”
And “Never has there been a more responsible and trusted friend or caregiver.”
Sounds like a saint, doesn’t it? Sounds like Mother effin Theresa, right? Sounds like the most wonderful mother on the planet.
Makes you wonder...
