Most cartoons are not created FOR children - yes, there are some age-appropriate/intellect-appropriate cartoons created specifically for children (Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, etc.) and teach various social niceties. Parents should be particular about what their children watch and they should watch these shows WITH their children and not allow the TV to be the babysitter. Uncensored television will desensitize your children and make them think that certain behaviors are acceptable when they really aren't.

My children love Spongebob and the episodes you outlined are taken completely out of context. Bubble Buddy is *not* about Spongebob being a killer. It is about having an imaginary friend. He creates Bubble Buddy because Squidward refuses to play with him. The others were taken out of context as well but that one really got me. It is silly to highlight less than 2 minutes of a 15 minute episode and call it the basis of the episode.
Tom and Jerry: They tried to hurt each other ( with very violent methods) in 99% of episodes aired.
The Road Runner: The coyote was trying to kill the roadrunner in every episode.
Let us not forget Elmer Fudd chasing Bugs and/or Daffy around with a shotgun.
Take the cartoon as it is, a cartoon...for children. Just like we had. If there are innuendos well, let us not forget about transvestite cats dressing up to fool their foes in classic cartoons and certain things that we didn't notice as children but we see now that we're older.
The same goes for Spongebob. If they throw something in to make it interesting for parents to watch with their children, so be it! At least people are spending time with their children.

What about the one where Sandy the squirrel has to invent something because her investors are coming and one of the things she has is a fully automatic nut scratcher!

I am 14 and I understand all of the humor in sb. It is still one of my favorite shows! All the episodes you listed aren't innapropriate, they're hilarious! Sb and other shows are there for entertainment, and honestly, you were afraid of the thriller video?!? Kids arent going to be scared of zombies, but they will be curious as to why they can't watch sb. If you have a tv, you most likely have a computer. This generation is tougher and we can handle things you can't!
