Angry Dentist’s Thoughts of the Day- September 20

brain5My political thoughts of the weekend.  Enjoy!

  • First off, everyone remembers the asinine comments of Jimmy Carter from last week about racism being behind the mass’s dislike of the president’s policies.  Well, yesterday, Obama cam out and said, point blank, that he does not feel that racism is a motivation.  Guess what?  Anyone with half a brain, a quarter of brain, even, knows that he is lying.  Because that’s what the president does best: lie.  We all know that he has a hefty does of distrust for the white man running through his veins.  Remember the Cambridge police controversy?  Remember that he spent ten years or so listening to a racist preacher blame the white man for every problem in this country?  Remember?  So remember that when he denies that he feels the opposition is fueled by racism (even though it isn’t, it is fueled by a rabid dislike for his socialist agenda), I’m sure he believes that it is.  I truly believe that he feels that the white man is after him and his policies because he is black (or half-black, if you choose).  I don’t think he’s any different than NY governor David Patterson or Charles Rangle, he’s just a little bit savvier and chooses to keep these opinions to himself.  But make no mistake, there are several racist bones supporting his lying, conniving body.
  • Back to healthcare for a moment.  i think what a lot of people, including our “leaders” are forgetting in this whole mess are the doctors themselves.  it is a grand idea to give everyone healthcare in this country.  But you know what that will amount to?  Crammed emergency rooms.  This idea of prevention, this idea of everyone seeing doctors regularly, is bullshit.  Why?  Because there are not enough doctors to go around.  You heard me.  What’s lost in this whole mess is that the number of people going into general medicine, family medicine, these days is decreasing.  Badly.  Most people would rather go into specialty practices.  Why?  Blame it first on Medicare.  With the aging population, doctors can spend a whole hour with an elderly patient discussing the dozen of drugs they are on and the interactions and be reimbursed $50 for their time.  You know, there is a misconception that doctors are rich.  Well, buddies, not anymore.  People seem to forget the expenses, the malpratcice insurance premiums, the costs of running a practice.  Hell, after the doctor takes home his paycheck, he can spend up to $1,000 a month paying back loans.  Doctors are not rich, and assholes out there who begrudge them for making what decent livings they can are ignorant scumbags.  You want a doctor, responsible for keeping you healthy after spending ten years in school and residency, to be paid the same as your hair stylist?  Doctors are… doctors.  Highly trained people keeping you alive.  And they should be paid well for their training and experience.  But that pay is going down, down, down.  Specialties are much more lucrative, so med students are going that way, leaving the US with a lack of primary care doctors.  You want Universal Health Care?  You want insurance for all so everyone can get preventative medicine?  Well, that’s gonna’ be hard when you’re waiting 6 months for a check up.  And guess what?  The numbers of primary care doctors coming out of school will only decrease, and decrease precipitously, if Medicare is slashed more and a public plan pays them less.  Because it the responsibility given to doctors will no longer be worth the cost.  Who wants to go to college, 4 years of med school, and then several more years of internship and residency, for $125,000 a year?  Not a whole lot.  Not when the threat of lawsuits always hangs over them like a guillotine because our wonderful Democratic leaders refuse to cut off their trial lawyer friends.  And all of this doesn’t even consider the malpractice issues that keep people from wanting to be doctors.  Who wants to be in a profession where that call can come any day, that some unhappy patient is suing you.  It must be nice being a scumbag lawyer- no law malpractice exists to ruin their lives.
  • ACORN is finally being beaten down.  And it took some amateur film-makers to do it.  Congratulations.  What started as an honest organization meant to empower minorities has become what every organization that grows and reaches to far becomes: corrupt.  Thank god, the census has distanced themselves from ACORN.  Thank god they will no longer get federal money to fuel their corruption.  It’s sad, really, that a multi-state investigation into voter fraud wasn’t enough to kick them to the curb.  It came down to several of their employees giving tips on tax evasion and how to set up a brothel to bring this horrible organization into the light.  But at least it’s done.  And now we can say goodbye to ACORN as a major player, because everything they now do will be scrutinized with a magnifying glass.  The Dems can no longer turn a blind eye to the culture of fraud and corruption, and by cutting ties, they lose a major contributor to their election wins.  Adios, scumbags.  Hope you enjoy the fall.
  • According to a new AP article “Middle-aged male smokers with high cholesterol and blood pressure die, on average, a decade sooner than peers without any of these heart disease risk factors, according to a study published on Friday.”  Isn’t that good?  People dying ten years early means ten years they’re not in the healthcare system, eating up dollars, right?  You know what, we cant have it both ways.  Live forever, and you use up valuable resources.  Die early… well, if you want to live a lifestyle that leads to an earlier death, than that’s an American’s choice, isn’t it?  We are always going to have a large segment of the population who live an unhealthy life, but you know what?  We’re better off when they die early, because the cost of treating obesity and smoking and the diseases associated with these conditions is expensive, and we’re better of not paying for their treatments for that extra ten years.  Obama has this grand idea of preventative medicine leading to longer lives, but that”s all bullshit because you’re NOT  going to keep people from smoking too much and eating too much and drinking too much, regardless of how much the government tries.  So when death comes early to these people who over-indulged, well then, its more available dollars to treat the diseases of natural aging in those people who lived healthy lives.
  • Iran is at it again, predicting the destruction of Israel and denying the Holocaust.  And next week, the president gets the honor of speaking at some UN function.  I am SICK AND TIRED of seeing any of my tax dollars go to this insane organization that gives the podium to a country that has sworn an agenda of genocide.  it makes me ill to think that even a couple of pennies from my pack check goes to sponsor the UN.  There is a reason there will be no good end to the US-Iran conflict: because the world refuses to acknowledge this madman as a lunatic and treats him with the same respect as a sane leader.  Instead of the UN refusing Ahmadinejad entry to the UN based on his genocidal tone, they welcome him in with open arms.  The UN is a disgrace, known these days only for therampant corruption and embezzlement from within, usually by the family of those in charge.  And Iran… what is there to say about Iran?  It may have been a cultural center in the Middle ages, but its nothing but a cesspool now, all innovation and original thought by the younger generation held down by Ahmadinejad (whose election was not legal) and the ruling clerical body.  I look forward to the day when they run out of oil or the world no longer needs oil.  They have no real economy, and the civil uprising which will result from the drop in oil sales will finally give way to a sane government.  Religious rule may be strong now, but when the country goes broke because they have no one to sell their only product to, chaos will ensue, and we’ll finally see a new, responsible Iran.  And Israel will be around to see this glorious day, because, really, they aren’t going anywhere.
  • And anyone who roots against Israel is… well.. a retard, I guess.  How anyone can think poorly of the only democratic country in that Hellhole of a Middle East is beyond me.  They survive, surrounded by enemies.  They are the only country ever to give back land after WINNING a war, keeping only what they need for security purposes.  The poor Palestinians… all they do is run television shows every day teaching their children to hate the Jews.  Yeah, that’s a good way to begin a peace process.  You can NEVER have peace with a population that teaches, that breeds, hatred.  This is a population that is soooo warped that they still hold Arafat in high regard even though he stole every cent given to the Palestinian people for rebuilding.  He is single-handedly responsible for the squalor the Palestinian people live in now, but they still regard Arafat as a hero.  These people are monsters, beasts, animals, who cheer in the streets when Israeli soldiers are killed.  You know what?  When the Palestinians can prove that they can be PEOPLE and not ANIMALS, with a respect for their neighbors and a respect for life in general, then a peace process can begin.  Until then, until the Palestinians throw down their ignorance, until they turn off the television and stop teaching hatred, until they throw out the terrorists running the Gaza strip, there will never be peace.  And there shouldn’t be.  Because the Israelis shouldn’t have to respect a people who don’t respect their right to live.  The Palestinians have to grow up beyond this adolescent mentality before they have the right to anything.
