Fairly odd parents: Anti-Poof Review

Well, I watched the special tonight, and I was left with mixed feelings on the experience. The idea had to be explored.  Ever since we were introduced to Poof, I knew we would see an Anti-Poof.  After all, every fairy has an anti-fairy.  And if you though about it, you knew what you would get: everything opposite of Poof. Poof is round, Foop is square Poof acts and thinks like a baby, he acts and [...]

Family Guy- Best of last season

Any fan of Family Guy knows that the past few seasons have been hit or miss, more miss than hit, unfortunately.  American Dad is actually a more consistently funny show these days. There were several good episodes, many so-so episodes, but only 2 really stand out episodes, those being Road to Germany and the Not All Dogs Go To Heaven.  Stew-roids was fair, as was the episode where Peter becomes gay.  But Germany and Heaven were [...]

Punisher- 6 Hours to Kill

Quick reviewof the last Punisher MAX storyline.  I tend to wait until an entire arc is completed before I read it. Its hard living up to the standard of Garth Ennis when it comes to writing ultra-violent comics, like Preacher (best comic ever published) and his 50 or so issues of Punisher. I’ll admit, when the story first started, I though it had potential.  Don’t get me wrong, it was an enjoyable read.  Quick, like [...]

Dragonlance- Dark Disciple Trilogy quick review

Disclaimer: No spoilers below Just finished the Dark Disciple trilogy (otherwise known as the amber trilogy), and I will admit that i was disappointed.  I don’t know what i was expecting, but something more than this, especially coming from one of the two Dragonlance paragons, Margaret Weis.  Any time Weis or Hickman do a Dragonlance story, I guess i expect something… epic.  Or funny.  Cause I loved the Doom Brigade Books. This trilogy just lacked [...]

Old Man Logan

I generally don’t like alternate reality stories or future stories because I enjoy continuity.  That’s one reason I never really enjoyed DC books- it seems like the editors there are blowing up and re-creating their universe every couple of years to undo damage they did. That being said, Old Man Logan is one of the best Wolverine stories I have read in a while (not including the Mystique story, which I enjoyed immensely).  The story [...]

It’s funny. I love the show 24. Or I thought I loved it. I impatiently waited each week for the next installment. The only show I lookwed forward to mroe on a weekly basis was Lost. But a funny thing happened. A week went by, and though the newest episode sat idle of my DVR among Dora and Diego and Wonderpets, begging to to be wtached and appreciated, I didn’t watch it. And over the [...]

Duma What?

I just finished reading stephen King’s latest novel, Duma Key Ever since Bag of Bones, I have been less enthusiastic about King’s new novels, and often wait several years to read them.  Don’t gte me wrong, I go out and buy them as soon as they are released, but I let them fester on my bookshelf while I attend to shorter paperbacks.  I did them same thing with Cell and with From a Buick 8. [...]
