Mean thought of the moment

I don’t know what exactly got up my butt recently, but I have to say it: VP Biden makes VP Quayle look like a Mensa member/rocket scientist. Sometimes I wonder if our illustrious man-of-the-people VP can spell his own last name. I mean, it only has 5 letters, but he can’t count too well, or know which numbers are larger than other numbers, so I don’t know how well he does with letters. The alphabet [...]

My back hurts

I just started playing WII Sports Resorts for my Wii, the sequel to the ever-popular WII sports.  And I hurt my back.  Yes, hurt my back.  Not badly, but enough to require a heating pad.  And lots of Motrin.  That’s what happens when you don’t exercise for a year and then pick up your Wiimote.  Who the hell hurts themselves playing video games? What was I doing?  Bowling.  Four games of virtual bowling, my friends.  [...]

Sleeping on the couch

Two weeks and counting. That’s how long I’ve been sleeping on my couch.  Not that I’m complaining. Why am I sleeping on the couch, you may ask?  Well, if you have been reading my blog, you know that I have a newborn daughter,  That is not the problem.  The problem is, I have a dog.  And now just any dog, but a livable Daschund, who drives me crazy. Anyway, people have this misconception that wiener dogs are [...]

The Future Is Now

Two blogs on fatherhood in one night.  I must be drunk.  Or extremely tired.  Anyway, as you all know, its a scary world out there.  And as parents, all you can do is… well, the best you can do.  And at some point, you have to accept that what your children do is out of your hands. I spent some time with my brother tonight.  He’s 19 years old, just finished his Freshman year at [...]

Nathan turns two, and he won’t keep quiet

Two-year-olds are funny creatures.  The are almost like butterflies as compared to caterpillars, a beast of a completely different nature.  They develop personality.  They develop actual memory.  They sort of become real people.  And it is a scary thing.  And its a giant pain in the ass. I have to say, the absolute funniest thing about Nathan, my two-year-old son, is his constant narrative.  He reminds me of Peter Griffin from an episode of Family [...]

Spongebob Retrospect

I was just watching an older Spongebob episode- not “classic” old, but several years.  It was the Kelp Shake episode, and while in the middle of viewing all of these new mediocre SB episodes, it reminded me of what makes a good Spongebob episode good, and not just fair. It’s a Plankton episode, but that’s okay.  I do like some of them. Now what makes this episode good? The difference, first off, is the interesting [...]

New Spongebob Review- Growth Spout

Growth Spout was the sixth episode from the SB Summer Bash I feel like a broken record at this point- it was okay, not great. Episode starts off with Pearl going through a growth spurt, and she demands food.  She eats the entire fridge in one bite. Krabs first goes to Ms. Puff’s house and starts harvesting what look like giant peanuts, but they are all really worms, and they begin to spit disgustingly at him.  [...]
